Subject matter: Word-formative and lexical-semantic structure of general feminine personal names in the XVI-XVIIcc Ukrainian language. Aim: Investigation of the peculiarities of word-formative and lexical subgroups of general feminine personal names in the XVI-XVIIcc Ukrainian language. Methods: historical, statistical, descriptive, component. Results: The research paper is the first complex analysis of word-formative and lexical subgroups of the names denoting females in the XVI-XVIIcc Ukrainian language. Spheres of application: The results of the research can be used in studying the historical word-formation, in writing research works based on the history of the Ukrainian language, in creating textbooks and different types of dictionaries.
