The dissertation is devoted to the problem of the development of the optical wave transmitter for the distant resonance system of the atmosphere sounding; on the basis of the lidar equation analysis as the basic criterion of efficiency of the transmitter device quantity effective radiated energy criterion is offered; an increase of a work resource of the lamps and enhancement energy stability of multilamp pump systems with preionized operation is experimentally proved; the theoretical and experimental researches, directed to the optimization of the transmitter radiation parameters are performed; the results of examinations were used for the development of the resonance lidar stations transmitters; the seasonal and latitude experimental researches of variations abundance of a sodium in the upper atmosphere are performed
