Vasylenko T. Methods for the Wi-Fi devices recognizing by its individual signs for the network security improving

Object – the process of Wi-Fi network securing. Aim – the Wi-Fi network security increasing by reasonably taking into account the signs of its physical level state. Subject – signs of the wireless network state, on the basis of which a decision is made about its abnormal state. Methods – the spectral analysis methods, comparison method, experimental verification, mathematical modeling. Results – the method for identifying users of Wi-Fi networks by detailed analysis its spectral characteristics radiation of their devices is proposed; the methods of the informative signs forming for comparing spectra, based on the mean squares differences in their counts and the asymmetry coefficients of their correlation functions have been further developed; the method for the attacks detecting on Wi-Fi network, which consists in determining the users network location by the RSSI level using radio prints, has been further developed. Application – the intrusion detection system improvement for analyzing the state and security of Wi-Fi networks.
