The dissertation is devoted to viewing of social-political views, world outlook ideas on the grounds of examination and analysis of philosophical works of Linytskyi in the context of Ukrainian spiritual-academic philosophy of the second half of nineteenth century. In the dissertation an attempt was made to define the place of Linytskyi in the Ukrainian philosophical thought, distinguish social elements of Linytskyi's philosophy along with methodological bases for their viewing, outline the problem of a man and sense of his being, views on society, state and their development in the works of the philosopher.
