The thesis deals with a study of linguistic formulas in diplomatic texts in the Modern Ukrainian language. Evolution of view on the main notions and categories of linguistic stylistics is analyzed, the following notions are defined: functional style, sub-style, language genre and text, linguistic formulas; cognitive and pragmatic aspects of text formation are revealed.
