Kytytsya O. A category of personality and means of its expression in publicistic style.

In the work the borders of a functional-semantic category of personality are delineated, the representative means of its expression in modern Ukrainian literary language are established, the specificity of implementation of this category in the texts of publicistic style is determined. At research of a transmission system of miscellaneous personal values the main attention was addressed on the addresser-addressee ratio as the most relevant link of a communicative situation. Both central and circumferential members of this category were investigated. Applying descriptive, context-situational and stylistic-statistical method of testings of a language stuff, there was established, that the broad arsenal of means of transmission of subjectivity and addressivity enables to make speech by more expressive.
