Object of research: evolution typical chernozem of the Forest-steppe of Ukraine under influence of the anthropogenous factor. The purpose of research: finding - out of general laws of development of modern pedogenetic processes in typical deep chernozem under various phytocoenosises (wood, steppe), revealing of major changes of the basic soil characteristics, substantiation of their evolution, systematic and ways of rational use. Research methods: the problem of evolution typical deep chernozems in natural and cultural ecosystems has been solved by the conducting of field, laboratory (chemical) and forwarding (routing) studies of soils on the borders of valley landscapes of the Seversky Donets river, and combined theoretical and experimental generalizations on the basis of the system approach. Practical results: the laws of development of modern pedogenetic processes in typical deep chernozems under various vegetative covers (wood and agricultural plants cultures, natural grass) have been obtained, and the basic changes of physical, chemical, physical -chemical and biological parameters in these soils have been determined. Theoretical results: the evolution of typical deep chernozems under wood plantings and their systematic the EPP basis has been substantiated; "wood chernozem" have been separated at a subtype level. Novelty: theoretical generalizations have been conducted, and for the first time the theory of evolution of pedogenetic processes chernozems under artificial wood phytocoenosises is suggested, the place of wood-culture taxons in general systematic of soils in Ukraine is determined and their classification section on the basis of elementary pedogenetic processes (EPP) and biodiagnostics is performed, the ways of further rational use of slope soils are determined. Implementation degree: the recommendations concerning introduction in chernozem soils formed under wood plantings in Forest-steppe and Steppe of Ukraine, have been developed and adopted for inclusion into the nomenclature list at a "wo od chernozem" subtype level. The recommendations are adopted by the Institute of Soil Usage (The Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Science) and by the Ukrainian Scientific Research Institute of Forestry and Agricultural Melioration named after G.M. Vysotsky. The research results concerning the classification of wood chernozems and soil-improving role of wood cultures are included into the teaching process of the Kharkov State Agrarian University named after V.V. Docuchaev, Kharkov State Pedagogical Institute named after of a name G.S.Skovoroda and Dnepropetrovsk State Agrarian University.
