Essay

Object - the heterogeneity of local structures of soil cover. Purpose - to develop methodological bases of a diagnosing and parameterizing of lateral soil heterogeneity on the basis of multispectral space scanning data of high spatial resolution. Methods - information-bibliographic, analytical, abstract-logical, field and laboratory-analytical, multidimensional analysis, methods of geoinformation processing and geostatistical analysis of data, statistical, mathematical (variance, regression, correlation, factor analysis). Theoretical results - methodological bases of soil decoding on the based multispectral space scanning data of high spatial resolution for diagnostics and parameterization of regular variation of soil properties in a surface layer are substantiated an developed; regularities of formation of local structures heterogeneity of soil cover on arable lands on the basis of joint analysis of space survey data of high spatial resolution and geostatistical analysis of data of ground researches in different regions of the country are established; the theory of soil testing was developed on the basis of quantitative estimates of lateral soil heterogeneity, which was obtained according to space survey data. Practical results - technological bases of a definition of soils lateral heterogeneity by combining space survey data and results of ground-based soil surveys are developed; improved methodological approaches to decoding multispectral space scanning data for mapping of local soil structures; methodical approaches to parameterization of soil cover heterogeneity according to the complex of soil properties on the basis of space survey data are developed; improved methodological approaches to soil monitoring based on the involvement of estimates of soil heterogeneity, obtained by thematic decoding of multispectral space scanning data. Novelty - for the first time: the bases of practical methodology of multilevel thematic data processing of multispectral space scanning of high spatial resolution for diagnostics and parameterization of lateral inhomogeneity of soils for the purpose of creation of modern system of information support of large-scale researches and mapping of agricultural systems. Degree of implementation - methodological approaches for diagnosis and parameterization of soil heterogeneity were implemented on an area about 40 000 hectares in Zhitomir, Kharkiv, Donetsk regions and in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The results of theoretical and experimental research were used to develop proposals for improving the "Procedure for collecting, using, disseminating information on desertification and land degradation"; development of the "Concept of creating an information system for soil protection monitoring by remote sensing methods", approved and recommended for the implementation of the State Institution "Institute of Soil Protection of Ukraine"; development of methodical recommendations on the organization of remote control of agronomically significant parameters of soils as the main factors of intensification of grain economy, approved and recommended for implementation by the scientific-expert council of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine. Branch - agriculture, land and nature management.
