Essay

For the first time in conditions of one region of Ukraine postmortem cases of prion diseases and their clinical and epidemiological characteristics described. The objects of the risk of being infected by infections prions in the conditions of the territory observed have been defined as those producing medical preparations from the animal raw material. The results of the research having been taken into consideration, the structure of the epidemiological supervision for prion infections has been proposed.
