Essay

We enrolled 129 patients with ischemic heart disease. The peculiarities of an infection caused by several viruses of Herpesviridae viral family in the main clinical graupes of patients with IHD and the contribution of herpes viral infection to an unstable course of the main disease had been studied. The clinical picture of acute myocardial infarction on the background of viral infection is inclined to the development of second myocardial infarctions, arrhythmias and thromboembolic complications. A latent viral infection in patients with IHD without antigenes of pathogenic organisms in biological fluids but with their presence in internal organs had been discovered. Human liver, lymphatic mediastinal nodules, coronary arteries, kidneys, nervous ganglions were the main target organs.
