Essay

Comprehensiv sanitary studies have been carried out with focus at biohazards in the production of mixed feed, viz: contamination of the production environment, feedstuffs and ingredients thereof with microorganisms; certain peculiarities in the development of microorganisms associated with organic dusts inside production facilities, showing dependency on the type of production equipment, raw material and season; establishing the array of toxigenic fungi in the air of production environment, raw material and end product; micotoxin production by most common fungal species, as in establishing the role of microorganisms and their toxins in the development of occupational diseases. It has been shown that bacteria, fungi, and their related toxins, which widely contaminate the production envirinment in animal feed industry may affect health and be regarded as a risk in the development of occupational diaseases of workforce.
