Voropaj S. The system of confixal derivation of nouns in Ukrainian language of ХІХ - ХХ centuries.

. In the dissertation the complex study of the structure and realization of the confixal system of Ukrainian language of ХІХ - ХХ centuries has been fulfilled. The detailed derivative analysis of confixal nouns has been conducted. The derivatives have been considered in the derivative-semantic fields (the field of subjects, the field of objects, and the field of abstract nouns). The amount of derivative semantic peculiar to each field has been determined. Also the list of confixes that help realize the derivative semantic has been fixed. The types of derivative meanings of confixal nouns have been found, they are: the mutational type, the modificational type, the transpositional type, the mutational-modificational type. The existence of the mutational-modificational type is caused by the originality of the confix.
