Essay

The investigations about the metabolism of iron, metalloproteins, glycoconjugates of blood and erythrocytic membranes, activity of metalloenzymes of antioxidant defence, hemopoietic trace elements in pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia were carried out. They allowed to elucidate separate links of pathogenesis and to improve diagnosis and monitoring over the treatment effectivity. The complex therapy of pregnant women with IDA by means of chelate compound of ferrous (II) sulfate with D, L-serine - actiferrin, along with vitamins complex and trace elements - duovit was worked out and scientifically based.
