Essay

Existent in sociology theories and conceptions of the integrative role of religion are analysed. It is asserted, that the theories of scientiests, which researched this problem, may be attributed to two direction of sociological theory - functional and "understanding". It is proved that religion promote to the social integration by two main interconnected and interdepended way's - outlook-psychological and organisational. It was demonstrated that in sociology of religion exist too wide interpretation of religion as an any value-normative complex and this has result in absolutization of its integrativity.
