The dissertation is devoted to study scientific approaches to reform the functions and structure of the Cabinet of the Ministers of Ukraine. In the dissertation are analyzed scientific theories in the this problem, the experience of the activity of the Cabinet of the Ministers of Ukraine after the declaration of independence of Ukraine. Besides there are some examples of the legal status and experience of the functioning Governments and Cabinet in the other countries. In the dissertation there are some propositions on function classification of the Cabinet of the Ministers of Ukraine; the author proposes original definition the structure of the Cabinet of the Ministers of Ukraine
