The dissertation is devoted to the problem of the health culture formation of University students, the solution of which is considered as the most important condition of self-development and self-perfecting of a person. The model, contents, forms and methods of the formation of the students' health culture from the point of view of complex approach to the process of valeological education at the University are well grounded, both theoretically and experimentally. Integral course materials have been designed for special course which are aimed at independent work of students, the initial level of health culture being taken into account.
