Nazarenko O. Ukrainian phrazeology as an expression of national mentality.

This dissertation is dedicated the specifity of demonstration of national mentality in semantics of phrazeological units is investigated, by means of analysis of cultural - national semantics phrazeologisms and by description of cultural connotations and correlation with meaning of a phrazeologism as a language unit that is depicted in the process of its, bearing information about combined identity of cultural - language self-consciousness as a parts of all-cultural mentality of the Ukrainians. Connection between the image meaning of a phrazeologism with ethnoculture factors through the statement of semantic typology, outline of thematic groups, exposure of pivotal words, which appear to be synonimic raws of phrazeological units have been investigated. The analysis of lexemes - components, which have humorous connotation was perfomed. It was denoted and analysed a numerous group of phrazeologisms, which lexical components are the names of realities of Ukrainian mode of life, that are unique in their fi gurativeness as they include the outlook of people, their traditions, everyday life, culture. It was stated that on the base of constant associative realitive there is a specific figurativeness of phrazeologisms generated, that denotes the national peculiarities of the language.It is so because of the fact that the ways of actualization of semantics and forms of phrazeological units depend on mentality linguslcultural similarity. The materials and results of investigation may be used in systematical researches in subject of phraseology and vocabularygrafical practics.
