Essay

There has been performed the mathematical modelling of the dynamics of freight cars with more precise definition of parameters of mathematical model according to the results of running dynamic tests. There have been determined the forces of dynamic interaction of cars and track, the stresses in rails, sleepers, ballast layer and ground bed. There has been made the comparison of dynamic indices of cars on 18-781 and 18-100 model bogies as well as of their interaction with the track. There have been elaborated the design and determined the technology of manufacture of original parts and assembly units of new generation bogie of 18-781 model. There have been determined the reasons of faults of 18-781 model bogie and elaborated the measures for their reliability increasing. It is proposed to apply for bogie, instead of non-stably working disk snubber (DS), the vertical oscillations' snubber of new design, which is more reliable during operation. Main results of the work have found an application in the de sign of new generation bogie of 18-781 model for freight cars.
