Vojtsekhovs'kyj M. Organization and activities of militia of Ukraine in the post - war years (1946-1953)

The dissertation is devoted to the historical and legal analysis of the legal support, organization and activities of the militia of Ukraine in the second half of the 40 - ties - beginnig of the 50 - ties of the XX century. Using a dreat number of sources contained in the state and departamental archives of Ukraine and almost unknown until now, the author analizes the process of development, reorganization and activities of the militia in protectiong public order and combatting crime.He also examines the legal basis of organization and activities of the militia, quantitative and qualitative changes in the structure of militia units detektives the dynamics of the main directions, forms and ways of work.The author also grounds the necessity of elaboration of a complex mechanizm of reorganizing the militia of Ukraine into a law - enforcement agency which would meet the European standards.
