The thesis is devoted to consideration of Czech musicians' activity in Ukraine at the late 18th - beginning of 20th centuries. Their influence on the development of professional musical education, instrumental performance, concert activity, foundation of many instrumental pedagogical performing schools in different parts of Ukraine is being analysed. The full analysis of Czech-Ukrainian musical connections in pre- revolutionary Ukraine is given for the first time. A number of forgotten Czech-musicians' names are introduced into the musicology practice. These musicians played on tours and worked fruitfully in Ukraine during that historical period. The process of development of Czech-Ukrainian musical relations is being under consideration as the integral historical and cultural phenomena. This process is one of the main components in the common cultural process in Ukraine at the late 18th - beginning of 20th centuries. A new international point of Ukrainian musical culture development is shown. Particul ar importance of Czech specialists' activity in Ukraine is demonstrated. This activity was full of progressive European musical-pedagogical and performing traditions.
