Essay

The work shows that the gravity of the clinical condition in new-born babies with a surgical pathology is closely connected with the endogenous intoxication syndrome (EIS) expression degree. The peculiarities of the EIS against the background of the traditional intensive therapy have been studied and two separate clinical phases have been distinguished which are different in their duration and significantly influence the outcome of the basic disease. The knowledge of the peculiarities of the EIS course in new-born babies with a surgical pathology made it possible to suggest the algorithm of treatment depending on the gravity degree including ultraviolet radiation (UVR) of autoblood and plasma extraction into the intensive therapy program, which allowed to qualitatively change the character of the intoxication process development and contributed to the improvement of the treatment results.
