Object: the paraphrases in the works of О.Honchar. The purpose - determination of structural-semantic and functional-stylistic features of paraphrases in the works of О.Honchar. Methods: descriptive, structural-semantic, statistical. Theoretical significance: the results of a research enrich Ukrainian stylistic, increase the theory of the analysis of the belles-lettres text. Practical value: the materials of work can be used in teaching stylistic of modern Ukrainian language, for want of reading special courses on linguistic analysis of the text, for drawing up of dictionary of paraphrases of Ukrainian language. Novelty: for the first time the paraphrases in the works of О.Honchar are investigated completely, their conceptual meaning, mechanism of creation, parameters of operation are determined
