System analysis of biblical motives of Akhmatova's lyrics and their role in the context of some works, as well as all creative work, is being under consideration in this thesis. It includes the investigation of the poetics of the "Seven Books" as a cycle. Such biblical themes as the Fall, the Baptism, the Atonement, the Bliss, the Resurrection, the Grace are being revealed in view of a lyric heroine who goes through all stages of Love. In this logicality the thought about certain evolution of Akhmatova's heroine is found. In the thesis biblical motives are viewed in the context of other historical and cultural layers of Akhmatova's lyrics. The poetess introduces them in order to summarize her Christian views of human existence because they give polyphone sound to key motives, which are being developed in the "Seven Books".
