3. Dissertation investigates the problem of the establishment, development and functioning of the Canadian Parliament in the period from 1647 to 1982. Considerable attention is paid to the history of the the making of the institute of parliamentarism on the territory of present day of Canada. Dissertation provides analysis of the stages of development of repre- sentative institutions, outlines functions of the houses of the Parliament, characterizes legal status of major officers and commissions of the Parliament of Canada. The conclusion is made on the historism of development of the institute of Parliamentarism in Canada and scientifically substantiated recommendations are provided as to the application of experience of functioning of the Canadian Parliament in Ukraine.
