Essay

The candidate thesis presents a theoretical and experimental analysis of the problem of moral self-regulation as a mechanism of preventing teenager's deviant conduct. The essence, the types and the determinants of teenagers' misconduct have been analyzed in the work. A substantial meaning of moral self-regulation in initiation of behavioral anomalies, that has been found out, has stimulated theoretical analysis and experimental investigation of the specific features of its manifestations during adolescence. A training program has been elaborated and tried out to develop moral self-regulation of teenagers. The obtained experimental data confirmed the efficiency of the program of moral education of the growing generation. The results of the experiment proved the importance of spreading the worked out program among psychologists, teachers of secondary schools and other educational institutions. Realization of the program which has been presented in the candidate thesis will be of great use in moral develo pment of children, forming their moral self-regulation thus helping to prevent deviations in their conduct.
