Essay

The theoretical background of legal systems arising and their existence is investigated as being the methodological base for the general theoretical modeling of legal system which was then applied to analyze the Italian legal system. Keeping up with the 3-elements of the structure of the Italian legal system and its analyze of its each component (normative, institutional and ideological), enabled to define its place in the continental family, the role of the formal sources; to the division of the modern Italian law into public and private, into branches and institutes, to some tendencies towards socialization of law; to expose complex structure of the Italian judicial system; to show peculiarities of the legal education and instruction, the legal profession and requirements to lawyers; to establish the level of the European integration impact upon the Italian legal system development. Some concrete recommendations concerning the Italian experience to be taking into account to foster the legal system of Ukraine and concerning perspectives of Ukrainian participation in the European integration processes are formulated.
