Essay

The main stages of formation and development of constitutional-legal status of the national minority in Ukraine as subjects of the constitutional law since 1917 till 2001 and the attitude of Ukrainian state authorities to the national minorities on different stages of its development are investigated and analysed in the dissertation. The analysis of normative-legal documents (acts) of Ukraine regarding the rights and freedoms of national minorities and classification of their rights and freedoms has been conducted. Based on the statutory documents of the minorities associations, the forms of their self-organization and the mechanism for the achievement of their cultural, social, economic rights and freedoms were analysed. Analysis of the organizational-legal and normative-legal guarantees of the minorities' rights and freedoms occupies an important part in the research.
