Essay

Theoretical bases and methodology of landscape scientific researches of mining areas are substantiated. Landscape structural characteristics of the L'viv Region and the allocation of negative processes are explained. Specilities of mining and other anthropogenetical stress as well as the actual ecological situation of landscapes of the research territory is analysed. Landscape and ecological environmental assessment of the territory and of typical mining regions (Chervonograd, Javoriv, Drohobych regions) is given. Using landscape principles different ways of optimising the ecological situation are presented.
