Objects: chronic disturbances of brain circulation (CDBC) caused by hypertensive disease (HD) and cerebral atherosclerosis (CA). Goals: сerebrovascular reactivity (CVR) studied by means of transcranial Dopper sonography (TDS) is an integral factor of the state of brain circulation regulation. Disturbances of CVR at early stages of CDBC manifest themselves as hyperreactivity in patients with HD and hyporeactivity in patients with CA. At late stages of CDBC patients with HD and CA manifest pronounced hyporeactivity, down to areactivity. Usage of Piracetam improves CVR parameters on early stages of CDBC, the intake of Trombonil influences more effectively on CVR in patients with late stages of CDBC.
