Essay

A functional and semantic analysis of the language of Ukrainian satirical and humorous novels were conducted in the dissertation, language dominants of creation of the comical (onyms of various types, phraseological units) were determined, the connection of means of humor with the mentality of Ukraini-ans was shown, the common and the differentiating in the use of comic methods in E.Hutsal's and O.Chornohuz's works was emphasized.
