.It is for the first time that both well-known and unknown works by J.Mushketyk are under the systematic analy- sis in Ukrainian literary studies. It is the first attempt of the generalized comprehension and analysis of the peculiarities of J.Musketyk's historical prose. The researcher reconsiders and specifies the previous evaluation of the works written by J.Musketyk in the 60- 80's from the up-to-date position and analyses his latest novels as well.
