Object: the word-building means of categorization of a subjective assessment. The purpose - the analysis of features of the word-building categorization of a subjective assessment in Modern Ukrainian. Methods: descriptive, structural-semantic, component analysis. Theoretical significance: the results of research enrich the study of categorical word building of Ukrainian language. Practical value: the materials of work can be used for writing textbooks and manuals on word-building of Ukrainian language, for want of reading special courses on categorical grammar and lingua-psychology. Novelty: for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics the separate status of word-building category of a subjective assessment is justified, the structure of an assessment is determined, semantic of estimated lexemas is analyzed.
