Essay

The thesis is devoted to investigation of vibration disease course in postcontact period in mining workers and also of rehabilitative therapy efficiency. Analysis of observation of 147 drillers and drifters under conditions of Ukrainian Research Institute of Industrial Medicine's clinic (Krivoy Rog) has been assumed as a basis of the work. Examinations were carried out using both clinical and functional methods. A vibration disease (VD) of I degree was diagnosed in 74 patients, a VD of II degree - in 73 patients. It is proved that stopping contact with vibration promotes the significant regress in pathological symptomatology in considerable part of patients. Range of injured functions and organs restoration depends on VD degree during which patients stop contact with vibration. Thus, the range is considerably high in patients rationally located for a job at I degree of VD - 71.6 % and it is significantly smaller at II degree of VD.- 29.7%. The renovation of functions and systems is observed within first 3 years after stopping contact with vibration, though a complete renovation of injured functions doesn't take place. In further their positive dynamics is practically absent, in spite of rehabilitative therapy and improvement of clinic and functional signs haven't been marked. Thus, after 3 years stopping contact with vibration in the most part of the patients the period has been coming when injured systems of the organism become balanced enough under present conditions considering rational setting for job and under the absence of severe accompanying pathology these organism systems may functionate satisfactorily.
