Essay

Within the framework of the linear vortex response theory the theoretical models of the flux line lattice dynamics in the mixed state of thin superconducting films are developed for different pinning mechanisms and magnetic field orientation. The influence of the dimensional effects in the structure and dynamics of the flux line lattice, flux line lattice disordering effects, surface pinning and pinning in extensive two-dimensional defects on the surface impedance of superconducting films is calculated.
