Shpakovska K. Plays by О.S. Pushkin "Boris Godunov" and "Mermaid": actualization in the jenre of libretto.

Objects are the arts of A.Pushkin, M.Musorgskij, A.Dargomyzhskij, mainly "Boris Godunov" and "Mermaid".The aims to define the features Pushkin's drama heritage and to depict the principles, causes and effects of transformation (processing, addition, development, reduction etc.) it in the opera libretto. Methods - structural - analytical, comparative, descriptive and system. The new approach lies in the first time opera libretto has been considered as an independent artistic work. The pecularities of the drama styles of the libretto authors are pointed out. For the first time the comparative analysis of Pushkin's plays "Boris Godunov" and "Mermaid" and libretto of operas with the same name by О. Dargomyzhsky and M. Musorgsky is carried out. The transformation of the play into the lapidary form of libretto is considered, the principles, causes and consequences of this process are determined, modifications which the original play underwent are analysed.
