Tsyupyak I. "Poetics of stories of Mykola Khvylovyj"

Thesis is one of the first monographic research of the conception of the universe and personality in the stories by M. Khvylyovyj with structural-semiotic and typological-comparative methods being used. Dissertation work throws light on the features of constructing the conflict, chronotope, ideal. For the first time in Ukrainian literary critic the definitions of the existence of death and socio-psychological dominants were analysed as characteristic components of M. Khvylyovyj's poetics. The associative fields of micro-images, artistic details, symbols, mythologemas, motives are investigated in the thesis. The comparative analysis of these works with the works of writers of world literature helped to determine specificity of tragic and comic in author's artistic expression.
