Altman I. Roentgenendovascular treatment of symptomatic and essential arterial hypertension

The basis of the present work are the results of complex clinical investigations of 174 patients and roentgenendovascular treatment of 79 patients with renal, renovascular, suprarenal forms of arterial hypertension and essential arterial hypertension. An original and mini-traumatic methods of treating arterial hypertension, such as percutaneous transluminal balloon angioplasty and stenting of renal arteries, roentgenendovascular destruction and embolisation of adrenal glands, was used with 83,2% positive clinical result. The character of changes of blood pressure, renin-angiotensin-aldosteron system was investigate during five years follow-up. The results obtained give evidence of high effectiveness of roentgenendovascular treatment of malignant symptomatic and essential arterial hypertension.
