The dissertation the theoretical analysis and experimental research of the empathia function in the pedagogical process is given. The interrelation of the empathia with a way of organization of learning process by the teacher is shown, the influence of teacher's style as well as on the character of relations among pupils, their motivation and progress in their learning. Main psychological factors which determine junior pupils' learning efficiency are revealed. A teoretical model of the influence of teacher's empathy on her managing of junior pupils' learning is proposed. The program to develop teacher's empathy is worked out, grounded psychologically and pedagogicalli and tested successfully, surh empathy being a precondition of junior pupils' learning. Psychological and pedagogical recommendations to raise a teacher's readiness for work with junior pupils are worked out.
