Essay

Object: downy mildew. Aim: definition of factors, influencing the development of downy mildew on Melon and substantiation the measures for its harmfulness limitation in conditions of the Forest Steppe of Ukraine. Methods: laboratory, laboratory-vegetative, field ones. Results: there is worked out the model of an equation for short - term forecast of downy mildew appearance on guard crops. For the first time in Ukraine there is studied the influence of agrotechnical factors, in particular, schemes of sowing, cassette technology of growing and fungicides efficiency in limitation of the disease harmfulness on melon; the melon varieties, entered in the State List of Varieties of Ukraine, are evaluated on resistance to downy mildew. Sphere of introduction: Breeding establishments, agricultural enterprices of Ukraine.
