Essay

The object of study - low-pressure DC glow discharge. The purpose of study is to reveal physical law to create adequate physical model of the breakdown and discharge rtgimes of DC glow discharge. A modified Paschen's law for gas breakdown in uniform direct current electric fields is experimentally established. The existence range of normal regime of glow discharge over pressure is specified. A link between normal glow discharge and anode sheath is experimentally established.
