Essay

The thesis dedicated to the study of the development of Turkey's political and legal system in different historical periods of its existence. The thesis reveals the specifics of a new state construction process - that is Turkish Republic, which emerges from the ruins of the Osman Empire. The research is based on the Turkish archives materials not well known to the national science. The thesis extensively interprets the inception of the national liberation movement in Anatolia. It scientifically proves the crucial role of the Congresses of Local Organizations on the protection of Population's Rights and their role in setting up political and legal system of modern Turkey. The thesis reveals the evolutional character of the constitutional development of the Republic of Turkey. It pays a great deal of attention is studying the process of the preparation and formation of the legislation system of the Turkish state. The thesis presents the characteristic features of the internal political siruggle in the state, the process of eliminating the political opposition and the introduction of a one-party regime of the ruling People's Republican party.
