The thesis is devoted to carrying out of the fundamental research of the U.S. policy toward UN peacekeeping activity and the evolution of U.S. approaches to this by Clinton Administration. The author examines views of American statesmen, scientists, members of Congress on the UN peacekeeping activity and U.S. experience of participation in such peacekeeping operations. The author analyses new tendencies in U.S. policy and causes of appearance of these tendencies.
