The urgency and relevance of the study of the security dimension of interstate Ukrainian-Russian relations is due to the fact that their nature is characterized primarily by a significant level of historical antagonism of national interests of Ukraine and Russia, which in turn necessitates a fundamental analysis of relations between the two states. And given that over the last decade, humanity has been going through a new stage in the evolution of conflicts - there is a quantitative and qualitative shift towards hybrid forms of confrontation. Also the topic is actualized by the need to rethink the theoretical and methodological aspects of the concepts of security and conflict, as well as other components of the concepts of security dimension of interstate relations. This research is based on the fact that an objective assessment of the achieved level, the current status of interstate cooperation between Ukraine and the Russian Federation has significant scientific interest and allows make a new geopolitical emphasis in the region, confirm and fix a significant change in the geostrategic position of both countries. To show functional changes in bilateral relations, to outline the perspective taking into account the potential of their conflict. A clear understanding of these facts, their theoretical nature will allow to build further effective activities to combat and overcome negative influences in general, and by the Russian Federation in particular. Scientific research is also aimed at finding ways to address information security challenges at both national and regional levels that already has become central and strategically important for the development of any country. As for Ukraine, it is precisely in this area lies the critical issue of the possibility of ensuring territorial integrity and guaranteeing state sovereignty. Thus, a clear and comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms of international cooperation in the context of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict is aimportant condition for strengthening the state subjectivity of Ukraine. With this the author analyzes the conceptual and theoretical approaches to the study of the security factor of international relations in the context of their modern transformations and on this basis developed the author's systematization of stages of interstate Ukrainian-Russian relations in the field of security. The current status of Ukrainian-Russian relations in the military, political, economic and information spheres during the period of open Russian aggression is characterized, and the main factors of security destabilization of relations are determined. Analytical scenarios of possible development of the security situation in Ukrainian-Russian relations have been developed and practical recommendations for building an effective system of counteraction and prevention of Russia's negative influence on the security situation in Ukraine have been proposed. Thus, we can state that this dissertation is a complex study with a comprehensive generalization of the critical area of scientific intelligence, namely the issue of Ukrainian-Russian relations in the security sector, in particular during the open Russian aggression beginning in February 2014. Given the widespread of hybrid security challenges in modern international relations, the paper sets out recommendations for effective counteraction to Russian aggression, assessment of the existing governmental system of measures to deter it in the information sphere, and outlines possible scenarios for interstate relations between Ukraine and Russia.
