Isayeva N. Ukranian literature in China: problems of reception.

Author in the Thesis studies mechanisms of reception of Ukranian literature in China, elucidates typological essence of similar phenomena in Ukranian and Chinese literatures and reveals intrinsic regularity of their origin and evolution. Conceptual approach to the above problem consists in revealing of two cultural systems' mutual penetration and synthesis. The emphasis was made on the role of translation, as one of the main form of adopting foreign literature in new cultural environment. Most of the works of Ukranian authors, which were translated in China, were rather "in tune" with Chinese literature. For instance, the romantic type of poetry was the factor, which favoured the perception of Shevchenko by Chinese literature. At the same time his poems are regarded in China as definite canon of Ukrainian classical literature, with strongly marked national specificity.
