The object of study: sociological urban theory. The aim of study: development of theoretical and methodological principles of analysis of changes in socio-spatial arrangement of postsocialist city. The method of study: theoretical and methodological reflection, historical and logical analysis, comparative analysis, methods of secondary data analysis. Theoretical and practical outcomes: the major principles of study of socio-spatial organization of cities in Ukraine as postsocialist cities are developed. The results of study have been introduced into the lecture courses for sociologists in V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University.
