Essay

The essence and regularities of food industry enterprises development in market conditions are disclosed. The theoretical and methodological problems of development efficiency determination are elucidated. The peculiarities of food industry enterprises development in Zakarpatsky region are defined. The needs of the region in food resources, level and sources of its provision are estimated. Efficiency of food industry enterprises development is analyzed. Economic essence of efficiency improvement reserves is more exactly defined and the reserves are found to improve the efficiency of food industry enterprises development in Zakarpatsky region. The essence and necessity of transition for food industry enterprises to iinovation path of development is substantiated; the directions for improving the organizational and economic mechanism of food industry enterprises development are proposed; the mechanism for foreign economic activity intensification for food industry enterprises of the region is elaborated.
