The dissertation research deals with the theoretical and experimental analysis of the psychological determinants of the development of the communicative competence of an education manager of a school level. In our work we have discovered the dependence of a level of the communicative competence of an education manager upon the peculiarities of his/her self-consciousness, the complexity and structure of criteria of estimation of other partners of communication, the psychological depth of non-verbal patterns of role behavior. We have established the important psychological factors upon which the development of the communicative competence of education managers depend. They are : a) the examination (correction) of adequacy and fullness of a person's ideas and knowledge of one's own personality; b) the development of the reflexive attitude towards oneselves as to the subjects of the governing activity; c) the completeness of formation of the ability to differentiate and to express in adequate form their own feelings and psyhoemotional states; d) the explication and more precise definition of the "implicit conception of their own personality" on which the estimation of the communication partners is based. We have worked up and approved the methods of development of the school managers and their reserves' communicative competence adequate to the requirements of a modern pedagogical practice.
