The thesis is devoted to determination of the basic mechanisms of the metal form change during the forge piercing of the low (H/D=0,3…0,6) billets under the value of relationship of deforming tool and billet diameters over 0,5 and in determination of deformation conditions for the maximum approximation of the form and dimensions of the forging blank to the finished product and creation of a new technology allowing to obtain the wrtain types of the rings to be pluged which excludes operation of pluging on the mandrel.
