Scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that comparative technologies of keeping meat cattle of the southern meat breed of the Black Sea coast and Tavrian types have been examined. There was also done a pioneer research on the all-year-round pasture housing system for the southern meat breed cattle, their adaptive reactions. stress resistance and immunity. An energy-saving technology of fearing meat cattle in Southern Ukraine was also developed.Practical value of the is in the determined positive impact of the all-year-round pasture housing system development, fattening, meat properties of young stock and on reproductive capacity of cows of the southern meat cattle.The research results were used in development and application of the following programs and recommendations approved by the UAAS and Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine: "Animat breeding in Odessa region From 2001 to 2010" and "Program of establishment and development of meat cattle breeding sector in the Odessa region for the years 2001-2010"
