The object is literary-historical process in Russia of 1830-1850; the aim is to determine idea content and artistic originality of Rostopchina's literary heritage; the methods of the research are based on the modern principles of descriptive, comparative-typological, biographical and system methods of study of literature; the new approach is that in the thesis the poetry is not only examined but for the first time Rostopchina's prose and drama are analysed.
